While limited street parking is available near the race precinct, early arrival is recommended to allow for extra travel time. For a smoother experience, consider carpooling, a gesture that aligns with our commitment to being considerate of the residents in surrounding streets.
Please note that onsite parking at Pelican Park is unavailable for competitors, except for accessible parking near the Clontarf Visitor Information Centre. Present your accessible permit to the traffic marshal for directed parking.
Kangaroo Bus Lines will be providing a FREE Shuttle Bus service on race day, Sunday 19 July.
Operating from Clontarf Beach State High School, with parking available on the school oval - access via Isobel Street.
3 buses will be running. 1 bus will start at 5am, and 2 more will start at 6:15am. All shuttle bus services conclude at 12:30pm.
Road closures will be in effect for the event.
Stay mindful of parking signs, as traffic police will be vigilant in issuing tickets for any infractions. Be aware of parking restrictions to maintain safe access to all properties, with infringement notices applicable for non-compliance.
The following roads will be closed from 4am to 11am on race day
1. Hornibrook Esplanade – Full closure on the Westbound lane from Oxley Avenue to the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) at Pelican Park. The Eastbound lane remain open, with detours are in place
2. Hornibrook Esplanade – Full closure in both directions from Victoria Avenue to Oxley Avenue
3. Oxley Avenue (between Alfred Street and Woody Point Jetty)
4. Woodcliffe Crescent
5. Lilla St (east of the Kate St roundabout)
6. Gayundah Esplanade (whole road)
7. Whytcliffe Parade (whole road)
8. Margate Parade (whole road)
9. Landsborough Ave from Bunton Street to Fortune Street (whole road)
For safety and accessibility reasons, temporary on-street ‘No Stopping’ restrictions will apply in the following streets from approximately 4am - 11am on Sunday, 20 July. These include:
Embark on a northward journey along the Bruce Highway, seamlessly taking EXIT 133. Follow the inviting signs along Anzac Avenue, guiding you to the picturesque Redcliffe.
You can catch a train from Brisbane City to Kippa-Ring Train Station, which will take approx. hour. It is important to note that this train line timetable doesn't operate early enough on a Sunday to get you to the event site. It is only recommended for use the days prior to the event, to get to your accommodation. On arrival at the station, you can Uber, Taxi or bus to your chosen accommodation.
Effortlessly navigate your way northward on the Gateway Motorway, treating yourself to scenic views. Take the Deagon Deviation exit, gracefully crossing the iconic Houghton Highway bridge, leading you to the heart of Redcliffe.
For those arriving from the Sunshine Coast, embrace a southward adventure along the Bruce Highway. Glide through EXIT 133, and let the signs along Anzac Avenue escort you to the alluring destination of Redcliffe.
