A race wave is simply a subset of runners starting at different times. It does not affect finish time for chipped bibs as crossing the start line is when the runners time begins. Jetty 2 Jetty race waves start in 2 minute increments. Prize money is based off gun time and will only be eligible to those competing in the elite wave. Please email info@j2j.com.au if you’d like to be moved into this wave. Note, prize money only available in the marathon, half marathon and 10km events.
This means you must arrive at a certain point on the course before an allotted time. Details of all race cut-off times will be detailed in the pre-event race brief and under each individual race event on the Jetty 2 Jetty site. If you do not reach the certain points on the course by the cut off time you will be collected by one of our course marshals who will drive you back to the Race Precinct at Pelican Park.
