MORETON BAY, QUEENSLAND

SUNDAY 18 JULY 2027

Mayor Peter Flannery

To the seasoned marathoners, the early morning joggers, the weekend walkers, and those simply here to enjoy the view, welcome to City of Moreton Bay and the 2026 Jetty2Jetty!

This year marks a proud milestone as we celebrate 40 years of Queensland’s longest-running and most scenic running events. What began as a small local initiative on the Redcliffe Peninsula has grown into a cherished tradition, attracting thousands of participants and visitors from across Australia and around the world.

In 2026, Jetty2Jetty reaches another major milestone with the introduction of a full marathon for the very first time. This exciting addition expands the challenge and creates new opportunities for participants to experience our spectacular coastline in a truly memorable way. Alongside the half marathon, 10km, 5km, 3km, and wheelchair events, the marathon further enhances Jetty2Jetty’s reputation as one of the most inclusive and diverse running events in Queensland.

City of Moreton Bay is proud to host an event that reflects the very best of our active, welcoming, and vibrant community. The spirit of accessibility, participation, and connection that defines Jetty2Jetty mirrors our values and is a key reason why more than 4.6 million visitors choose to explore our city each year.

Whether you're striving for a personal best, enjoying a day out with family and friends, or simply soaking in the bayside atmosphere, I encourage you to take time to experience all that our city has to offer. From stunning coastal precincts to hinterland escapes and thriving local centres, City of Moreton Bay is a place to stay, play, and explore.

Thank you for being part of this special 40-year celebration. I wish you every success on the course.
