Coastal & Hinterland Trails Worth Staying For

Redcliffe to Scarborough Foreshore

If you love a sunrise run, this is your golden route. The J2J course itself follows this stretch, flat, scenic and dotted with jetties, beaches and ocean lookouts. Perfect for shake‑out runs or a gentle post‑race stroll.

Shorncliffe to Sandgate Boardwalk

A favourite among locals, this breezy waterfront path offers long, uninterrupted stretches ideal for tempo runs or relaxed family walks.

North Lakes Town Park

Prefer lake views over ocean views? This leafy 2km loop offers shaded tracks, lakeside views and plenty of birdlife and turtles to spot along the way. Saturday mornings are busy with the popular Park Run event starting at 7:00am.

Mount Mee Forest Trails (D’Aguilar National Park)

A mix of fire trails, rainforest tracks and ridge‑top lookouts. The 13km Somerset Trail is popular amongst locals and visitors. Runnable, scenic and perfect for endurance training.

Mount Glorious & Mount Nebo

Cooler temperatures and winding forest trails make this area a favourite for trail runners. Expect a soft forest floor, steady climbs, waterfall detours and plenty of wildlife.

Clear Mountain Conservation Park

A hidden gem with undulating trails, quiet bushland and views back toward the bay. Ideal for mid‑distance trail sessions.
