Makers, Markets and Meals Worthy of a Medieval Merchant

Moreton Bay is home to a thriving community of creators and artisans whose work echoes the craftsmanship of the Middle Ages. Head to Samford and Dayboro for potters and glass artists, and the Redcliffe Markets for artisan food producers. You won’t find full taverns with tankards of mead on every corner, but Moreton Bay has plenty of venues that capture the spirit of medieval feasting.

While not medieval, craft beer and crisp spirit culture pairs beautifully with the atmosphere. Try Hip Hops Brewers, and Scarborough Harbour Brewing Co.

Moreton Bay is a region where history, creativity, and modern culture blend seamlessly.

Whether you're exploring museums, wandering heritage trails, meeting local artisans, or browsing bustling markets, there’s always something to spark the imagination. Pair these experiences with events, great food, welcoming accommodation, and stunning natural landscapes, and you’ve got the perfect recipe for a getaway that feels both timeless and full of discovery.
