48 Hours with your Kiwi Cuzzies

A LOCAL ITINERARY

So, your Kiwi cuzzies have landed in Brisbane and they're crashing at your place for a few days and are asking the inevitable question: So... where are you taking us bro?

Sweet as. Lucky for you, Moreton Bay is packed with easy adventures - beach days, whale watching, hinterland drives, farm visits and some seriously good seafood. This 48-hour itinerary, written by a local Kiwi for Kiwis, is your cheat sheet.

DAY 1

SUNRISE

Start the day with coffee by the water at Scarborough Marina, then wander along Redcliffe Jetty. Time your visit on a Sunday and stroll the Redcliffe Markets along the foreshore. 

MORNING

Head out with Brisbane Whale Watching for an unforgettable experience spotting humpback whales (boarding commences at 9am for a 10am departure). 

AFTERNOON

Drive north to Bribie Island for a swim, beach walk or paddleboard. You can cruise the water for hours, swimming and spotting the local wildlife. 

DINNER

Grab a table at Sandstone Point Hotel for sunset drinks and dinner. Be sure to check their entertainment and what's on guide. You'll be surprised with the choice music line up.

DAY 2

SUNRISE

Start the day with coffee and breakfast at The Belvedere Hotel. We recommend picking a table out the front or upstairs so you can soak in the views for days.

LUNCH

Take a scenic drive into the Moreton Bay Hinterland, stopping in Dayboro Village then drive to lunch at Ocean View Estates. 

AFTERNOON

Visit White Ridge Farm or Trevena Glen Farm to meet and feed the cute animals. 

DINNER

Head back to Scarborough and watch the sunset from Morgans Seafood while you enjoy our famous Moreton Bay Bugs.
