FREE PARKING

Moreton Kids Festival has a designated parking area on site at Pine Rivers Park. Please follow directions from event staff, volunteers, and traffic marshals at all times.

Is there accessible parking at the event?

ACCESSIBLE PARKING AVAILABLE

Limited accessible parking is available on-site at Pine Rivers Park. Upon arrival please show event staff, volunteers, and traffic marshals your parking permit and you will be directed to the reserved accessible parking.

Is there a drop off zone?

DROP-OFF/ PICK-UP ZONE

There will also be a designated drop-off/pick-up bay for those not wishing to park or for buses/rideshares. Please follow directions from event staff, volunteers, and traffic marshals at all times.

Are dogs and/or pets permitted at the event?

Yes, of course! We love our four-legged children - service dogs are always welcome, and all pets must be leashed and on their best behavior while they celebrate with us!

What if it's been raining?

Moreton Kids Festival is a go unless we advise otherwise on the website, email or via social media.

What should my family pack for the day?

We highly recommend you pack the following essential items for the whole family:

  • Hat
  • Sunscreen
  • Plastic water bottle
  • Hand sanitiser
  • Picnic blanket
  • Mobile phone
  • A smile - it's gonna be a great day!

Strictly no eskies, glass, alcohol, or shade structures. See list of strictly prohibited items further below.

Can I BYO alcohol?

STRICTLY NO ALCOHOL

No. You cannot bring alcohol into the festival. Strictly no glass also.

Are there ATM's on-site?

ATMS AVAILABLE

Yes! We have ATM machines located around the festival.

What is the cost for rides?

All of the rides at the event are FREE and unlimited! 

What items are banned from the festival?

RESTRICTED & BANNED ITEMS

  • Weapons of any kind
  • Tents/shade structures (Umbrellas and cabanas are accepted)
  • Pepper spray/mace
  • Alcohol
  • Illicit Substances
  • Fireworks & Flares
  • Glass bottles
  • Smoking & vaping
  • Electric scooters, skateboards and bikes. Mobility devices and aids are fine.
  • Any other items deemed to be unsuitable by event staff

Any person or persons found within the event area in the possession of any of the above items will be removed from the site. A refund will not be issued for your ticket.

Where can I breastfeed & change my baby?

PARENTS ROOM

There will be a designated ‘Parent's Room’ where you will be able to comfortable change and feed your baby. Facilities will include baby change facilities, comfy chairs for breastfeeding, and a microwave.

Can I bring food into the festival?

PACK A LUNCH

Yes. However, please do not bring anything in glass.
 

We recommend a small backpack or cooler bag. Strictly no eskies.

Where do I locate lost property?

LOST PROPERTY

If you’ve lost an item during the day at Moreton Kids Festival, please head to the Information Tent. If the item is not there, we ask that you leave your phone number with staff and a description of the lost item. We often come across lost property after the event has closed for the day. Lost property is kept by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism at their head office at 433 Elizabeth Ave, Kippa-Ring Qld 4021, for a period of four weeks. Please call 07 3453 1400 after the event to see if we have located your lost item.

Is there a cloak room?

NO CLOAK ROOM

No. There are no cloak room facilities at Moreton Kids Festival.

Is there an allocated area for smokers?

STRICTLY NO SMOKING

No, this is a non-smoking event. No smoking or vaping is permitted.

Photography/Videography Notice

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOGRAPHY NOTICE

Important information for photography and filming at Moreton Kids Festival

When you attend Moreton Kids Festival, you and your guest(s) enter an area where photography, audio, and video recording may occur. By entering the event premises, you and your guest(s) consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release publication, exhibition, or reproduction to be used for news, web casts, promotional purposes, telecasts, advertising, inclusion on websites, or any other purpose by Tourism and Events Moreton Bay (TEMB) and its affiliates and representatives. You release TEMB, its officers and employees, and each and all persons involved from any liability connected with the taking, recording, digitising, or publication of interviews, photographs, computer images, video and/or sound recordings

By entering the event premises, you and your guest(s) waive any rights you may have to any claims for payment or royalties in connection with any exhibition, streaming web casting, televising, or other publication of these materials, regardless of the purpose or sponsoring of such exhibiting, broadcasting, web casting, or other publication irrespective of whether a fee for admission or sponsorship is charged. You also waive any right to inspect or approve any photo, video, or audio recording taken by TEMB or the person or entity designated to do so by TEMB. You have been fully informed of your consent, waiver of liability, and release before entering the event.

Is there first aid?

FIRST-AID AVAILABLE

Yes, we have trained and qualified first aid available at this event. If you are in need of assistance, please seek help from any event staff or volunteer for assistance.

Is Moreton Kids Festival a sustainable event?

Yes, in 2025 Moreton Kids Festival was assessed by the EarthCheck Event Check Program and successfully meet all criteria to verify as a EarthCheck Responsible event. 

EventCheck verification includes the following elements: Event Scope, roles and responsibility. Sustainability policy, sustainable procurement policy, risk matrix and impact assessment, EventCheck action plan, legislation assessment, venue measurements, operations and delivery including standard operating procedures (SOP's) and an engagement and communication plan. 

Verification Date: 26 February 2025

Expiry Date: 25 February 2026. 

Will there be flash photography or strobing lights?

FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY

Whilst none of the festival's performances contain flash photography or strobing lights we need to advise that their may be instances of this from other patrons at the festival with cameras etc.

The festival will have an onsite photographer and videographer that will also be utilising flash photography.

Will there be amplified music or sound?

AMPLIFIED SOUND

Yes, there will be amplified music and sound, particularly around our stages and performance areas.

Will there be smoke machines or other chemicals or smells?

NO SMOKE MACHINES

No, however some of our performances will be using bubbles.

Accessibility around the Festival

Most of our precinct is accessible, excluding a few activations (such as rides). Parts of the venue are on a hill or gravel terrain, however we have made sure that none of the event features are on these areas.

Please note the entire festival is on a grassy terrain.

Is there a Quiet Zone?

QUIET ZONE

In recognition of guests with sensory sensitivities, we have dedicated a Quiet Zone within the festival grounds. This area is specifically designed to provide a quiet environment, allowing individuals to retreat from the sensory stimulation of the event and recharge as needed. Our commitment is to ensure an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all attendees of Moreton Kids Festival.
