Boundary Park | Everton Park

hero code

Boundary Park, Everton Hills is the most impressive of the many parks found in the Hills District. Nestled against the corner of Camelia Avenue and Galeola

Street, this park can provide hours of entertainment. It also makes a great starting point for a day long exploration of the suburb of Everton Hills.

There are plenty of great parks near Brisbane but this is one is voted one of the best things to do near Brisbane with kids!

Fun-filled themed playground

Only recently refurbished, this transportation themed playground features a huge variety of things for kids to do. There is a giant web shaped climbing frame, for starters, providing action and adventure for all skill levels. For the littler kids, the main play area has ladders to climb up and fire poles to slide down. As well as swings and a slide, there is also a fun miniature spinner and motorcycle shaped rocker.

Since this is a bark based playground, there is no need to worry about injuries caused by falling on hard surfaces. Boundary Park playground is surrounded by fields of grass. This gives kids plenty of space to run around and kick a ball. There is also a basketball court available for anyone keen to shoot a few hoops.

Picnic destination!

Boundary Park includes picnic benches and BBQs for public use. This makes the park the perfect place to enjoy a relaxed lunch on the grass with family or friends.

Make a day trip of it

There are so many other things to do in Everton Hills once you are finished at Boundary Park!

Go on a bike ride to Teralba Park

Right beside Boundary Park is the Kedron Brook Bikeway. If you take a ride along it with the kids, you’ll discover another park not too far away – Teralba Park. To find out more about this park and all the fun it has to offer, click here.

Visit Leslie Patrick Park

Another park which is fairly close to Boundary Park is Leslie Patrick Park. If you drive down Olearia Street, you’ll come to Leslie Patrick Park. The kids will love it!

Getting to Boundary Park

There are two possible ways of getting to Boundary Park. Firstly, you can drive there.

From Brisbane:

  • Stay on Kelvin Grove Road until it turns into Enoggera Road and then Samford Road
  • Take a right at Osbourne Road before heading left onto Pullen Road. You can find plenty of parking in Galeola Street, just left of Pullen Road.

Alternatively, you can catch the 397 bus from Ferny Grove Station which stops right outside the park. You’ll love Boundary Park, yet another of Moreton’s beautiful outdoor green spaces – it’s one of the best things to do near Brisbane with kids!
